Jennifer Deyton is a Senior Partner at J&J Editorial. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Utah and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies degree from Duke University. Before accepting a position with Arthritis & Rheumatism (A&R) at Duke University, she worked in the Public Affairs Department for the North Carolina Medical Board. After working for A&R for five years, she joined forces with Julie Nash to develop and improve upon the role of the Managing Editor. From there, her career in publishing flourished into a successful and innovative company. Jennifer currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Council of Science Editors, and the Program Committee and Marketing and Communications Committee for the Society for Scholarly Publishing. She has also served as a Board Member and Program Chair for the Asian-Pacific meeting for the International Society of Managing and Technical Editors and is currently a member of the Editorial Policies Committee, as well as the Chair of the Marketing Committee for the Council of Science Editors.
